KDP and Kickstarter

I’m creating a budget/plan for a Kickstarter campaign (first time) for a self-published book through KDP (first time). And trying to determine my cost for each Ebook, Paperback and Hardcover so I can establish appropriate fulfillment levels that will cover the cost.

If I’m correct, it appears to me that I pay the printing cost for any paper books then have them shipped to me. The fulfillment “cost” for a paper book would be printing cost plus postage to the contributor. And it appears that none of these fulfillment reward books would count as “sales.” Are those assumptions correct?

It is not clear to me what the cost of an Ebook will be to me. Does Amazon deliver the Ebook to the contributor???? Probably not. So how do I get an Ebook to a contributor?

I’ve started slogging through the “Ultimate Crowdfunding Course”, but there is sooooooo much!

Can anyone offer some direction and/or wise counsel?

Thanks
