Lead Magnet Details

I have two questions for you lovely people today:

1. I’m a very thick-skinned part-time graphic designer, and I’m hoping some of you won’t mind telling me if these covers I created for my lead magnet are professional looking, or if I should hire someone. I really, really just want to make a good impression and I have some money saved for a cover if I need one, so what do you think, go with one of these or have something made? And if I should go with one of these, which one?

2. I love graphic design. Should I buy a program and try to format the e-book myself? It sounds like fun! If I should, what program would be best? If I shouldn't, where do I go to get that done?
