Library Sales Follow Up

I hunted back as far as 2020 on my podcast app and couldn’t find Thomas’s post on library sales.

I would love some clarification. If I go to Libby and search for a book, and it’s not in the catalogue for my library (I think Libby’s search is library-specific) and I “tag” the book — notify me if the library gets it— is that the same as “requesting” the book from a librarian?

If a reader reads my book through Libby, I think I get about twenty-five cents. When or where would I see if the library purchased a copy of the book rather than this pay-for-read system?
