Mailerlite Experts?

I’m trying to set up a mailerlite automation form on my website to send a free ebook to newsletter subscribers who fill out the form. I have a Wordpress/Divi website.

I added a popup form and the automation works, but the embedded form just subscribes those who fill out the form and doesn’t send out the free ebook/drip sequence.

How do I connect my embedded form to my automation? I set up the triggers so that anyone who fills out the embedded form or the popup form is part of the drip sequence and gets the free ebook, but it doesn’t work for the embedded form.

I’ve asked Google, and other sites. I’ve looked YouTube videos, but nothing mentions this specific issue.

I appreciate anyone who knows what I’m talking about and can explain this to a non-tech savvy person.
