Sometimes we need to step back and embrace joy again. I want to recommend a book I read that is ALL ABOUT our lives as writers…

A bit about the book:

It was written initially as a joke between a young author and his father who is a book publisher. In the end, Roo came clean to his dad, Bill Carmichael. And they developed the book.

I got in trouble at a hospital for reading it at night in the waiting room—because I kept bursting out into laughter. They ended up turning off the lights so I wouldn’t read my book. My daughters also read the book and we quote bits of it to one another sometimes.

Another note: Bill Carmichael is my mom’s cousin, so I’m related!
