Movie Recs Revisited
There were so many good and helpful comments, and I thank you all. I started a new thread because I was getting lost in the conversation.
Someone asked what I ended up watching. First of all, I’m shocked, shocked I tell you that only one person recommended The Princess Bride. That’s okay. I’ve seen it a zillion times.
The first movie I chose was The Last of Sheila. I had never heard of it before and I admire most of the stars in it and I like a good whodunnit. I recommend it. It was rather zany and nonsensical. Think “Murder by Death”, but it was a good rec.
Then, I watched Casablance, which I’d seen before, but not really understood (I’m not a war buff). Because of its use as an excellent writing example so often, I was able to see the methods used by the writers. After Casablanca, Prime slid me into old Perry Mason reruns, which may or may not be helpful. But the nostalgia is terrific.
I have a huge list of ideas, thanks to you all. What a great group.
Happy writing and watching!
