New Here -- Excited to Join the 5YP

Hi everyone! Glad to be here.

Quick intro: I’m a former U.S. Navy journalist who took a long detour into tech, then jumped back into writing about five years ago. Since then, I’ve released a three-book series.

But now I find myself at a bit of a crossroads.

Despite being 64 (which sounds old even to me), I’m ready for a fresh direction. So I signed up for the Five-Year Plan, and so far I’ve loved it. The program has given me a fresh perspective on writing.

On the more personal side: I’m raising three grandkids (10, 8, and 4) and dealing with vision loss, which makes daily routines challenging. But I’m up for the challenge!

I’m excited to learn, keep moving forward, and hope to connect with other writers here. Looking forward to meeting you all and joining the 5YP cohorts!
