Pitch Comments Appreciated

Which of these two pitches is more appealing? Or any suggestions? I write fiction that now straddles contemporary and historical fiction categories. The story takes place in 1979 with backstory in the mid ‘60s.

A. In a Mississippi River town, a young man voted most likely to succeed must confront guilt, truth, and unexpected grace.

B. Voted most likely to succeed, a small-town graduate must face the guilt he buried—and the grace he never expected.
