Scrivener vs Atticus?

With all the great things I’ve heard about Scrivener (and Black Friday coming up), I’ve had it in mind for a while to purchase it. However, I’ve heard that Atticus has similar word processor features, and that gives me pause, especially because Thomas has also recommended Atticus for typesetting books. Thoughts?

I’m currently halfway through writing a (debut) duology, and already have an extensive plot map outlined scene by scene via PowerPoint slides. I’ve also hired a professional typesetter, who uses Vellum, for this particular book. So, I’m interested in finding the best choice for me that balances both 1) Finishing this current project, and 2) Potential future books/writing projects (I’d like to get back into scriptwriting in the future).

I’d appreciate hearing input or anyone’s experience with either. Thank you!
