Starting over (long post)
I write under the pen name KC Hart and have 21 published books in two genres. I was going strong until two years ago when my husband became gravely ill. He was in the hospital six times that year. I finished the current WIP and published it, then laid all writing aside to tend to him. I got off all social media as well. The Facebook ads I had going continued until they needed tweaking, then I stopped them. I also stopped sending out newsletters.
Last year was better with three hospital stays and great strides in finding proper diagnosis for the problems. At some time during that year I shut down my website and cut my mailer lite off lab back to the free plan with plans to drop everything eventually. I honestly thought I was done writing.
Well… my husband has only been in the hospital once this year. I feel like we are getting a grip on this sort of life and I think I want to write again. As a matter of fact, I am on chapter five in the next book.
There are, however, some changes I have to make for my mental health.
*I cannot get back on social media, as in Facebook and instagram. I just can’t. I can run Facebook ads, but that’s as far as I can go in that direction.
*I want to get away from Mailer Lite. I’m thinking of Kit and wanting any advice about this from people who are currently using Kit.
*I am thinking of just doing a landing page instead of starting up my website again. It is on weebly and I don’t know if I should just start it back up, do another website (ugh) or just do a landing page.
I would love to hear thoughts of anyone who has thrown in the towel then fished the towel back out.
