Text to speech was eye opening

I can’t recall where I heard Thomas and Jonathan (?) talking about using text to speech to have the computer read back dialogue and text to catch errors. Well today i did it on a piece I’m hoping to submit for a contest. Ohhhhh boy was it eye opening! Cringe worthy and painful too. I caught so many errors i completely missed reading and editing it on my computer. Even saying it out loud i missed things. Having it read back really let me hear where i need to work on things.

A thank you to Thomas and Jonathan and a reminder to others to use those lovely features on your computer to help catch things in your manuscripts you wouldn’t otherwise catch! At least Apple products have an accessibility feature that allows it to read it back to you for free. And you can even choose the voice. Now I’m off to edit some more!
