Thoughts on Blog Novels?

I think Thomas touched on this a while ago, back in the first 200-odd episodes. I think his thoughts were negative, but I wanted to look into this more closely.

By 'blog novel', I don't even know if it's a term, but I mean a basic form of web novel posted chapter by chapter on your blog and hosted on your website.

I can think of a number of novelists who got their start by serialising their work on their own websites, and I'm curious to know how you could make it work without relying on a platform like Royal Road or Web Novel.

How would you make it work? I want to figure out some effective marketing strategies.

Any thoughts from you lovely, much more intelligent peoples?
