What is Christian fiction?

Apologies for my ignorance, I know many of you are writing in this space. I’m asking because my current WIP is a historical fiction set in Jerusalem at the time of the second temple. Jesus is long dead but his prophecies are coming true… Bethlehem a small unimportant village… but this is not about him (though I touch on his influence still felt during that time). Is this considered Christian fiction? Would this be of interest to those readers?
