What type of hook is better?

When preparing a one-sheet to take to a writer’s conference, is it better to have the hook (the bold one-liner) be a statement or a what-if? Running my thing through AI Thomas said to use a “what if” motif “to make the core conflict more immediate and punchy.” I’d love some human thoughts lol 😂 What if? or a statement?
