Day1 Homework--better late than never... Sandra Sorenson-Kindt
Write down five answers to the question: “Why should someone read my book?”
A beautiful, fluffy, blind cat is the star of this true story
2. The story is written as a parable which means a reader can find the message — trusting God even though we cannot see Him, or it can be “Cat Chat”
3. This storybook has discussion questions throughout the text — inviting conversation, interaction, sharing thoughts about the message or the cat
4. Many parents or adults in a child’s life want them to find courage. Chubbs learns to live courageously…and so can the reader
5. Beautiful illustrations + discussion + a rescued cat can engage a reader to want to hear the message of learning to live courageously by trusting God…the message becomes comforting
Why Do I Write?
As I watched my grandchildren growing up, they were fearful and anxious of just about everything. I was concerned about how they would manage their way through the noise and confusion in this world… So I wrote them a story—I was going to copy it at Kinko’s but instead I got talked into publishing it, and now it might be a legacy for me and my grands.
Chubbs: A Blind Cat Learns to Trust was born on the actual day of quarantine in 2020. I lowered the price of the book to make it available to anyone who wanted it. I haven’t changed the price.
