Homework #8 - Email

I have an email list for my fantasy readers. I’m hoping to segment out some of them as parents or grandparents to gain some interest in this new project. I have been silent for a little while, so I’ll need to reengage with some shorter content first.

My top subject lines from last year:
I should have listened to grandpa
Celebrating the little things
Email in a time of illness
Remember channel surfing?

Because the pen name is going to be an open secret, I’m planning on still using my real name in communications and just building a new segment for the list I already have. I plan on using substack to write articles about being a father and passing on virtues in a world that opposes them.

For reader magnets I’m planning to experiment with:

A sample of the first book (up to the main conflict)
Coloring Pages
A parent’s resource on developing virtues in kids
A shorter origin story for the main character
