HW #5-Tribes, Lacey Markt

Hey guys,

I had a crazy weekend and couldn’t make the changes I wanted on my website, so I’m going to have to catch up on that tomorrow. But here’s the tribes homework:

Common Themes between my answers to Jim’s questions, what people said about me, and my movie themes:

From others: I’m godly/have a Biblical perspective, my people enjoy my perspective/advice on family and relationships, I’m thoughtful, have a strong sense on right and wrong, intelligent/perceptive, encourager.

From Jim’s questions: I think the world’s greatest need is redemption and truth. My greatest joys are laughing with family, drawing people into deeper understanding, revealing truth, clarifying confusion, I often use personal examples

My favorite movies: Sense and Sensibility, You’ve Got Mail, My Cousin Vinny, The Negotiator, I had a hard time settling on five, so I threw in: King’s Speech, Bourne Identity, Ocean’s 12, and A Few Good Men. The themes I googled and the main one in all of them is Truth is discovered, hunted, or revealed. Other common themes: duty, responsibility, family, friendship and courage to step into something new. Let me know if you see anything different.

Topics:

I thought of parenting topics. I started working on one today called “Am I the bad guy in my own story?” about the guilt of fighting with kids. But I also thought about doing one on fear, being present, etc.

I have two podcasts one of my Timothy’s recommended to me. I’m going to subscribe to them and see how they are shepherding.
