Project Title: Tiger in My Tummy
Author(s): Nora Carman
I. Back Cover Copy
Taking time to eat breakfast before school can sometimes feel like just one more task to add to the morning routine. But what if skipping breakfast awoke a tiger? And what if that tiger grew more and more insistent that it needed to be fed—not in ten minutes, not in half an hour, but right now! As one boy’s tiger in his tummy becomes increasingly vocal, he does whatever he can to appease it until lunch.
Alliteration and an upbeat rhyming pattern keep the tone playful while still sharing an important message. Relatable and humorous, the story takes a common occurrence and brings each page to life with playful wording and vibrant illustrations. This imaginative story will inspire adults and children alike to eat the most important meal of the day so they can keep the tigers in their tummies fed and happy.
