Tech Savy Sheri One Button At a Time
I pushed buttons and found that my phone was still linked to an email from a past employer and had never been deactivated.
Biggest tech fear? When tech doesn’t work at the exact moment I need it to work the most
Plan to manage fear? Be patient with myself and try google first. It that doesn’t work I call my son Evan (Sorry Thomas my son is my personal Geek Squad and works in the tech field)
Things about technology that I’m grateful for: I had to jump up and move quickly out of state when my son in law was diagnosed with leukemia - thankfully I had telehealth as a back up way to see my clients..
I also love to study genealogy and Ancestry makes it easy to peruse in the comfort of my own home.
Question: I used dropbox many years ago and got out of the habit. I still have an account with them and haven't used it since discovering the magic of saving everything on my google account. Maybe I need to think this through a bit more. Is there something wrong with storing everything on my google accounts? I have 2 - one for my personal files and one for my professional files.
Also I have never heard of bookfunnel or most of the plugins Thomas talks about. What do I need to invest in right now as a brand new author? I use a PC. Should I be looking into a new computer with better features? I use google password to save my passwords. Is this not safe? Subscription fees add up over time and I have not even launched my first book yet.
