I suspect my novel most fits into the Entertainment category. There’s Escape and Education going on as well, but I aim to give readers more than the familiar in what I write. And one of the most common responses readers have to my short story collection is how much the story made them think and elicited reactions from them.

Value Statement

The ideal reader should pick up my book because they enjoy magic school stories but want a peek behind the curtain to see what the teachers are really like—with their schemes and dueling personalities.

What I’m Giving Up

I’m devoting time I’d normally spend editing my novel, reading other books over lunch, and probably some television time as well.
