Day 4 Tech Savvy Homework - Claudia

I figured out how to increase the font and display size on the screen and increase the contrast. So much better for these aging eyes!

My biggest fear is making a change and some/everything on my site either disappearing or going haywire. This has happened to me several times already, and it took me hours to days of searching and researching to figure out how to get everything back. Often there is some obscure setting that is really hard to find that somehow got switched when I tried to change to Convertkit or tried to substitute a Divi Author layout page for the page I created using Divi. I also hate when I'm asked to make DNS changes. I actually managed to create a subpage as a landing page for my new Convertkit account, but I have no idea how to use it. I think all I needed was a pop-up form, not a landing page, but I'm so ignorant, that I don't really know what I need. Should I be getting emails to tell me when people sign up on my Convertkit pop-up form? Because I'm not getting any.

I think I am most thankful for GPS. I'm much more apt to go to new places now than before it existed. Truly lifechanging. And backup cameras in cars - I never used to be able to back into parking spots. Now I do it all the time. And yes, despite my frustrations, I am very thankful for computers, the internet, Wordpress (she grits her teeth while she says this), and even Google (though I don't trust it).

My files are constantly backed up through OneDrive (a cloud service), which comes with Microsoft 365. I also use Syncplicity (similar to DropBox) as a Cloud backup. It works as a folder, and I only put some of our most important documents there, since you only get so much storage space. I periodically back up folders on an external hard drive, especially pictures. I use different passwords on everything of importance, but I write them down in my own special code in a notebook.
