HW#1 - Kim Megahee

Write five answers to the question: “Why should someone read my book?”

1.     I will take you on an escape journey that will meet your expectations and leave you feeling good at the end of the book.

2.     My characters are real and will engage you.

3.     My plot will ring true in today's world, so you can see how the real world would react if time travel existed.

4.     The surprise of my book is a measure of humor between the characters and how they interact with one another.

5.     If you enjoy one of my books, you'll also like the others because, while the plot is different in each one, the elements that attract you are also in the other stories.

Category: My books are in the Escape Category.

Value Statement: My book takes you to a world like our own real world, except a time travel technology exists and is used for good and evil purposes.

What I will give up to take the course and do my book launch:

I’m giving up my morning procrastination session, where I catch up on the news and do the NY Times Wordle, Connections, and Strands puzzles.

Additionally, I’m going to stay out of the kitchen (where I succumb to snacking, checking the news, and generally wasting time) and spend more focused time in my office (recording, prioritizing, and checking off action items related to writing, publishing, and marketing).
