HW #10 Amazon SEO Optimization

Homework

●      Share the Amazon page for your pre-order, if you have one.

○      I don’t have a book in launch position at this time. Here’s the product page for the first book in the last story I wrote:

https://www.amazon.com/Time-Patriot-Episode-Hail-Mary-ebook/dp/B0BGK44MJN

In the above page, I also took advantage of Amazon’s A+ Content.

Hindsight is always 20/20 vision.

I made a couple of semi-serious mistakes with this cover, title, and subtitle.  Both stem from my original intent to make the series a single book.  I didn’t revisit the Cover appearance after I decided to make it a series. Here’s the mistakes as I see them. I welcome your comments:

·       There are 4 books in the series, but they all have the name of the Series (“The Time Patriot”) as the most dominant object on the cover, rather than the Episode name (in this case, “Hail Mary Pass”).

·       I didn’t take advantage of the subtitle to define the book. The subtitle should probably be something like “A Time Travel Adventure Thriller.”

Again, hindsight is 20/20.

●      Post the 2 categories and 7 keywords you plan to pick for your book.

Some interesting observations:

I searched for the keyword ‘political thriller time travel novels’, and (Hooray) my book was on the first page.

I searched for the keyword ‘political suspense novels’ and showed up on page 6.

I searched for the keyword ‘time travel thriller series,’ and it also showed up on page 6.

I didn’t take the time to search for the other keywords.

Obviously, the keyword ‘political thriller time travel novels’ finds me quickly. The question is (back to Dave CHesson), how many people are actually typing that phrase into the search bar.

Cheers, and good luck!
