HW #11
I am in the first draft of my novel and I haven’t got answers, yet, for all of these, unfortunately, but here are a few.
How do you plan to use urgency to motivate people to buy your book today instead of tomorrow?
Limited edition signed copies within a short time of launch day.
How do you plan to use scarcity to make your book more valuable?
Same as above.
How do you plan to make your book more ubiquitous so that it is more available?
10k word prequel e-copy short story which will be given away for free from my website, before launch. Back matter and cover email will encourage readers to a) share the prequel if they think their friends might like it, b) sign up for my newsletter for news on release date, other novels, if they haven’t already.
How do you plan to use social proof to make your book more popular?
TBD
How do you plan to use anchoring to make your book look like a bargain?
TBD
How do you plan to show authority?
If I get endorsements, I’ll post those. I’ll make mention of any awards.
How you plan to throw a banquet for your readers?
Ask them in a survey from my very first newsletter, what they want to talk about, and try to give them that. I’ll ask at least once/year, as well as in the drip campaign.
