Homework

●      Share two or three of what you think are the strongest elements of your launch day campaign.

○      I think the Launch Party will be strong — Martha and I do a lot of entertaining.

○      I have a couple of friends with radio shows, so I hope to get a couple of spots.

○      There are some funny stories about how I came up with book ideas, and the best writing advice I ever got.

○      I’ve done some GoodReads giveaways in the past. It’s easy to do and helps get more reviews.

●      Ask for feedback on ideas you’re not sure about.

○      One thing I thought about for a short video would be an explanation of how time travel works in my books (you can only time-jump to times that are a multiple of 25 years from the current time, forward or backward).  I bring it into all the books, but never in a short succinct form. What do you think?

○      Another idea I had was to create a little eBook of interviews with the principal characters, similar to what you might find in an in-depth article about that person. Or maybe include the character profiles I’ve come up with for them. Maybe add some references to who would be a good actor to portray them in a movie. What do you think?

●      Share your drip campaign with the group.

○      I need to really think about this one. I have no real ideas about it yet. Certainly, links to the new book, CTAs for the book and reviews.

○      Character Interviews would be a good thing here, I think. Maybe send a different one with each email?

○      I usually create a map or two in my books. They might be good additions to the emails.
