HW #3 & 4

What is your biggest technical fear?

-Missing opportunities to gain readers/subscribers because I did not implement a process properly, or lose subscribers because of this. eg. reader magnet delivery, newsletter intro, drip campaign, or the newsletter, itself.

-Accidentally erasing an entire webpage(s) in Divi (an old web designer told me this was very easy to do).

What Steps Will You Take To Mitigate These Fears?

-Author Media courses, office hours, and a couple web designers through Author Media (I highly encourage reaching out to people on .social)

-Familiarize myself with my website and Divi- I’ve started doing this, and even edited a few small things.

What Technologies Are You Most Grateful For?

-My Apple devices, because they can all sync, especially the calendar. They’re more reliable and simpler than my old computer, which frees up more time for me. I’m thankful for both, but I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this added simplicity!

-Webcasts, Zoom, for remote meetings and teaching.

-My smartphone, for communicating, navigating, researching.

-The web, in general, for research. I remember having to find a large library in order to do a paper, or find things out, in general. Now, it’s at my fingertips (with a caveat that more discernment is necessary, because ANYBODY can post anything these days).

Homework: Which backup solutions do you use?

-External hard drive. Will be adding Dropbox, as well.

Which password management system do you use?

- icloud keychain, will be signing up with Lastpass or the other one.

Biggest Backup Disaster

-On Day#2, when I accidentally erased 3 pages of notes for the branding sessions & Office Hours (ouch!). That’s OK, I plan on viewing them again, anyways. They were gold!
