HW#5 Going Tribal

Favorite movies: ? Lord of the Rings (all of them because it’s one story): Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth one); Miracle; Sad Cypress (BBC portrayal of an Agatha Christie novel with David Suchet as Poirot); Endgame

Themes: The underdog wins an epic contest with high stakes through perseverance; Triumph through finding the secret, strength, plan, virtue, or whatever unseen power; Adventure with loyal companions who fight and laugh together

Subject I’ve been thinking about engaging: I have a blog and have been blogging about lessons learned in writing. I think that most readers don’t care about that. So, I started giving them information about my story world, which is launching next Tuesday. That’s fine, except I can’t keep doing that after launch. I do a lot of research for my books and toyed with the idea of writing about the most interesting thing I learned recently. I might do that, but I think what interests me might not matter to my readers. Finally, I think I might start a serial story related to my world but separate in such a way as to give no spoilers toe the main story. That would be a lot of work, but it is doing what I Iove best, and it might interest my readers.
