HW #6: How to Create a Launch Team

I am a little behind, but I am glad I have this done now. Unfortunately, I can’t do all the homework because I don’t have a book out.

Homework:

• Create a List of Ideal Launch Team Members

• My list of ideal Launch Team Members would be 10-20 people.  A few would have a long running Social Media presence because I have not been on social media for a long time.  I would like a few others to check bookstores.  A couple could be expert graphic artists.  Another group might check Amazon and Goodreads ratings.  I haven’t had a launch team up to this point.  I would also like to get advice from those who have done a Launch Team.

• Create a landing page with information about your launch team.

• I don’t have a book published to be able to set one up.

• Create a Google Form for your launch team application form. Share the link to the course community. Here is a guide on How to Create a Google Form.

• Whenever I have clicked the above link, I have got an error message for some reason.

• Set up a Discord Server

• Post to the course community one post with the following things:

  • A link to your landing page.

  • A link to your application form.

  • If you have worked with a launch team in the past, share with the group things that you learned and would do differently next time.

  • Share any creative ideas you have on how to thank your launch team

• I can’t do anything else for this part of homework because I don’t have a book out.  However, here are some creative ideas to show appreciation to my Launch Team.

  • I would sign their preordered books with a personal note.

  • I would definitely recognize them.

  • I would send them a basket of goodies.

  • I would want to do something extra special for them, but I don’t know what that would be now.
