I’m not going to be launching a book until next year, and I might change my website, so I’m not going to create a launch page yet.

But here’s my application form. (If anyone knows how to change the style/font of the text, please let me know).

Experiences of working with launch teams in the past and what I learned/will do differently:

I didn’t have a cause to rally people, and I gave away lots of free material (the book, deleted scenes, Spotify playlists, etc.) and the motivation was pretty low. I’m hoping that the cause will help as well as metrics/a scoreboard to rally people. I didn’t have anything to shoot for, and that also didn’t help with the motivation. I want to be much more clear about my goals next time. I also didn’t have any in-person meetings, so I think those could be helpful.

Creative ideas on how to thank your launch team:

• Send them hand-crafted tea based on the book with a hand-written note

• Send them a thank-you note as if it’s written from the main character for helping her defeat the bad guys

• Zoom party where everyone dresses up as their favorite character and we eat a treat that I pay for.

• Send character artwork prints to each member
