HW #7-Rachel Greco
Take one of your old newsletter emails and rewrite it. Show us the before and after.
Prior Email: https://mailchi.mp/b1a8f84d0ef4/hope-releases-tomorrow-a-reading-challenge
Newer Email: I didn’t rewrite an old email; I just wrote a new one focused on the reader and with less topics/CTAs, and it’s not quite finished. However, going forward, I will be pickier about newsletter swaps and giveaways because there are way too many in this email: https://mailchi.mp/d9fd1df3dbd7/get-cozy-with-this-fantasy
Rewrite or edit the back cover copy for one of the five books you know well. What did you change?
Confession: I didn’t do this 😬
Write or rewrite your back cover copy using what you’ve learned.
In the not-too distant future, vampires drink thoughts, not blood.
To avoid time in a correctional facility, Loni agrees to be part of an experiment that makes the country’s citizens safer. But the experiment turns Loni and her friends into thought drinkers, human cybernetic hybrids who don't just read thoughts—they need them to survive.
Determined not to let the scientist who ruined her life destroy anyone else’s future, Loni and her friends rescue other test subjects.
But the scientist and his cronies will do anything to retrieve their experiments.
As they evade the desperate scientists, Loni and her friends struggle to retain their identities from the poisonous thoughts they drink, all while fighting to become the monsters the scientists turned them into.
Will Loni and her friends be stuck permanently as creatures that prey on other people’s thoughts? Or is there a way to live as more than monsters?

Take your existing copy on one to two of your website pages and rewrite them. What did you change? What did you discover?
I rewrote some of my About page and realized that it was all about me and not about my characters. I tweaked it to be more about their struggles and what my books can help them with (seeing that they are beautiful as they are). It’s not finished, but at least it’s now on the right track: https://www.rachelagreco.com/about-me/
***I’d really like feedback about my headlines. That has been the trickiest thing for me. Thank you!
