Repost of HW #2
I accidentally posted this in the wrong community.
I was only able to get through all of Thomas’ videos. I paused a lot to take notes because I like getting everything I can out of the lessons. Step 3 doesn’t apply to me because I am not published yet.
Do any of you have thoughts on how to speed up to get through videos for the course?
Homework For Thomas’ Talk
Step 1 - Look in the Mirror
What are your strengths?
My strengths are world building, not using -ly/passive voice. When I start something, I am determined to finish it.
What are you the best in your world at?
When I read in my Writer’s Group, those listening love my world building and comment on how much I have improved in writing.
Why do readers pick other authors over you?
I am not published, but I have learned from my Editors/Coaches recently, my story structure, transitions, character arcs had been lacking.
Why do people read other similar stories rather than your story?
I don’t have a book circulation, so I don’t know the answer.
What do you do that exhausts you?
I have had times of frustration when I haven’t understood an aspect of writing and this comes across when someone has read the text.
