Hired: Does a Proofreader want to swap for line-edits or technical services?

I’m currently in that place where I have more time than money and am exploring options to get a secondary project proofread sooner than I’d be able to otherwise.

It’s pretty short. A 23k word book on prose (and a 5k workbook that should be pretty easy to proofread because there’s a decent bit of repetition). Both documents have been reviewed and run through Grammarly, so they’re fairly clean. But I do want another pair of eyes on them for a basic proofread before I move forward with publishing. I’m guessing the project would take 10-15 hours to complete, depending on the proofreader’s speed.

In exchange, I could offer a basic developmental/beta read of a project around the same length. Or a line edit focused on smoothing and showing emotions within scenes.

I also do virtual assistant work and love things like spreadsheets, setting up automations/newsletter lists, and things like that. So I’m also more than willing to trade some technical services for a proofread.
