HIRED llustration for Scruffy, the Grumpy Day Hero

I am a writer, speaker, and chaplain, and have two traditionally published picture books. One is a multi-award-winning book, named the Golden Scroll Children’s Book of 2023.

I already have a publisher for Scruffy, the Grumpy Day Hero. I’m looking for an illustrator who can capture my tail-wagging protagonist's many moods and the attention of five to ten-year-olds. I normally like watercolor, cartoon (yet fairly realistic) designs, but I'm open to advice. A past illustrator recommends me as easy to work with and enthusiastic. I can have her email you if you'd like. Please feel free to learn more about me by visiting my website: sallymetzger.com. I’m looking for 16 illustrations. One of which might be a great cover for the book.
