Custom Fantasy and Historical Maps for Authors

Have you ever picked up an epic fantasy or a historic fiction novel only to find in the myriad of place names and kingdoms there is no map in the book? You find yourself trying to remember where the characters are, with no reference points. It is a tragedy, at least in my opinion. It is also a sad thing when you have a map, but it feels modern and not in tune with the story.

If you are looking for a quality map for your books please send me a direct message or email. I’d love to work with you to give your fantasy world a map worthy of your writing.

I have worked for over 95 happy clients and every map is entirely custom.

I work with mostly digital art—a combination of hand drawing, and using stamp brushes copied from true medieval maps or purchased online.

My cost for a project would depend on the size and expansiveness of the map, plus the style chosen. For example a small map with minimal details would be in the range of $75-120, and a larger map with extensive hand drawn elements—creatures, dragons, etc—more like $150-300

I send each step of the process from first sketch to final touches and work step by step with my clients to achieve their vision.

I can be reached here or at Carter@carternormanphillips.com if you are interested.
