Virtual Assistant and Proofreader

Hey, everyone! My name is Autumn Bingham, and I’m a Christian college student who wants the experience of helping authors to accomplish their goals. This is my first venture into the business world, so I don’t have a website yet (which I’m hoping to correct soon!), but I would love to get to work with you.

I offer multiple services. I’m a good line editor and proofreader, having edited my own work and, in an unofficial capacity, the work of my friends, since the age of nine. I chase down errors in a manner similar to the way my cat goes after a squirrel: the chase can be exciting, but she always gets it in the end! I also am interested in a position as a Virtual Assistant, offering several different services and willing to learn whatever you would require.


As a proofreader, my price is $0.01 a word, although I’m perfectly willing to negotiate otherwise. I can get short stories back to you in a day or two, although a full work might take me a little longer.

As a Virtual Assistant, my services are at your disposal for $20 per hour, although, again, this number is open to negotiation. I will do any and all of the following:

  • Read and respond to emails

  • Schedule meetings (whether virtual or in person)

  • Respond to media requests

  • Balance your professional budget

  • Book travel arrangements

  • Perform general administrative tasks

  • Coordinate/communicate with beta readers, editors, etc.

  • Draft newsletters

  • Fact-check your writing

  • Transcribe chapters of your work based on audio recordings

  • General editing (although I will not replace an experienced editor!)

  • Keep track of story continuity

  • Track your story/character/location bible

If you need help with a podcast, I can:

  • Research guests or topics for your podcast

  • Generate interview questions

  • Schedule interviews with guests
