Substack for Fiction Writers

I moved my newsletter from a paid service to Substack about 9 months ago. Since then I have earned $640 from 10 paid subscribers who simply want to support my writing.

That’s instead of paying for a newsletter service every month or year.

My welcome letter includes links to download free stories, prologues and epilogues through Book Funnel. In addition, when I have something to give away I simply add a link to the newsletter.

I have both an MBA and an MFA so the basis of my newsletter is that intersection between business and creativity. Today’s helped readers develop book reviews that will be AI search-able (based on what I’ve been learning from Thomas!) I have been publishing a book a month, so there is often news about the new book and a purchase link.

So I think it’s very useful for fiction writers as well as non-fiction authors. I also write about the research behind my books (I’m about to publish an MM romance set in the world of Formula 1 racing.)
