Better late than never
I decided to join the Author Arsenal Writing Challenge that will start in January under the watchful eye of @Jonathan Shuerger. After thinking about it, I thought I would make it my goal for the challenge to write a full novel. A full fantasy novel. A full 100k fantasy novel…under the watchful eye of a US marine. After thinking about it some more…I have come to realize that I am currently not prepared for such a task. And that I might be crazy. But I digress.
And so, I find myself here, better late than never, or so they say. Because if I am going to have any hope of finishing a 100k fantasy novel in January, I need a plan. Or an outline. Or a list of bullet points. Or maybe a start menu. Or…anything really, just something written down to go off of. I can’t afford to be super picky at this point. An outline in the format of a Chinese Take Out Menu would be better than what I have right now.
The plan is to have a full novel outline by December 31st that I can utilize for the writing challenge in January. Currently I have an idea and a closing image written down. We’ll see how this shakes out in the last week and a half of this month. 😅 Hope is not passive and crap can be fixed as long as it’s on the page. Onward and upward or whatever. 👍
