December: Week 3 goals/updates

I have two main goals for this week.

1. Write another 10k in my novel (about 2k a day)

2. Format my prose book, read it through again, and start the process for a cover design

I’ve given myself a maximum of 3k words a day for the novel, because otherwise I’ll keep trying to do more if I have extra time and burn myself out. Also holidays are coming up and there’s a number of general life things to get done too.

December 15: 2152 words and some formatting of the prose book

December 16: 2255 words, finished reading through and formatting the prose book

December 17: 2083 words, started the process for cover design for prose book

December 18: 1561 words, plus about 2k edited from a previous chapter

December 19: 2045 words, and reading through a proof copy of my first book to try and catch any last-minute typos…I’m hoping I can get through the whole thing today.

This places me at just over my 10k word goal for the week. Which probably won’t be enough to finish the book this month but I have managed to complete a lot of smaller things, like the last of the physical swag details from my Kickstarter, formatting a prose book, and a final read-through of Unbanded.
