My name is Joleen—yes, like the song. ;-)

I am a developmental fiction editor, not a writer per se. I have no dreams (yet) of writing a novel, though I love to play with character arcs, plots, subplots, subtext, and all those writerly things that make this career so fun.

I’ve been editing for over 10 years, my focus has always been Christian fiction. It’s what I read; it’s what I know. I love the developmental side of editing, not the proofreading, because I enjoy helping authors work the big picture. I also do line editing, helping authors refine their lines after the big picture issues have been nailed down.
