Laid Off & Launching My Writing Journey

I probably don’t belong here. I haven’t even written my first book yet (like haven’t even started writing outside of brainstorming/plotting). But I know how important an author platform is because I used to be a marketer.

I recently got laid off, which has given me the opportunity to pursue my dream of being an author. I am currently doing research for a culinary cozy mystery series I want to write. 

It takes place in a small town called Savigno, just outside Bologna, Italy (the gastronomic capital). I am visiting the town in November during their annual truffle festival. Really hoping I get to go on a truffle hunt with a truffle dog (they don’t use pigs like France). 

I’ve actually never been to Europe, so I am excited to finally get to travel. Excited for what the future holds and looking forward to connecting with fellow writers/authors.
