A Couple of Questions for Homeschooling Parents
Hi! I’m hoping to write for the homeschooling market, to be able to eventually sell books at a conference or from my website, books specifically aimed at the homeschooling community. Now, I grew up homeschooled, so I understand and appreciate the fact that most homeschoolers want conservative books with clear lines between good and evil. Those are the kinds of books I read and the kinds of books I want to write. However, I have a couple of questions:
What are you, as a homeschooling parent, looking for in a book you would feel comfortable giving to your children, specifically your 15-17-year-old boys? What things do you want in the books you give them? Are you comfortable with magic? What level of violence do you try to avoid, etc?
Have you ever supported a Kickstarter campaign? I’m thinking of trying Kickstarter, but if no homeschooling families ever spend time with Kickstarter promotions, that would be a fruitless endeavor.
Sorry that’s so long! Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can give me!
In Him,
Autumn
