AI images for Author's website and social media

Hey all, I recall watching a YouTube video or reading an article by Thomas about how to use AI safely for writing. I can’t imagine using it specifically to write but I’ve found it helpful with image creation for my website. Recently I’ve used an image created by Firefly based on a color scheme I provided and some descriptors and made some people very upset about how unethical it was, that Adobe Firefly scrapes images from other sources but based on Adobe’s website (and other articles) Adobe trained Firefly on stock images and publicly accessible images but the formal Firefly product only uses content Adobe has full rights to (or sources that have no active copyright).

My concern is that, even though my website and newsletter are free, and I don’t have a published book to market, I may have infringed on some copyright issues. I did a Google reverse image search on my AI generated image and it found a “match” but it only matches in color scheme but not in any other way. I did provide the color scheme to Firefly, so I don’t think it is an issue but I’m getting nervous. Should I just take down all my AI images on my author’s website?

Thanks!
