Blog-focussed homepage

Hi Thomas and everyone, my name is Shoshi. This is my first post here☺️.

Thank you Thomas for everything I’m learning from you! I am writing my 1st book, a Memoir, and am building my website as per your instructions on ‘How to build an author website’. I’m up to the point where Divi is installed and am looking at the ‘Author’ theme on Elegant Themes.

My question: On your talk ‘5 Different kinds of author homepages’ (#114), you mention that it is most common for non-fiction authors to have a blog-focused homepage. But, on the ‘Author’ theme, the homepage has pictures of a book and the author, no blog posts. I’m not sure if I should choose this theme, as I want a blog-focused homepage. Can I turn the ‘Author' theme’s blog page into the home page? Or should I choose a different theme? Thank you 🌻
