Cookies on author website

I’ve been cleaning up my author website and am trying to make my ‘accept all cookies’ popup as unobtrusive as possible. I’ve also noticed a lot of author websites don’t seem to have that popup. Any thoughts as to how needed it is/the best way to make it not annoying?
