Goodreads vs. Amazon reviews

@Darlene N. Böcek — your “Project Update #23” prompted this question. I love how you directed your KS people to the Goodreads review page for your book!

I am also nearing my book launch date on January 11 and am wondering about the value of a Goodreads review versus Amazon…? I believe “most” people who buy my book (even my fans) will not likely do both, even if I ask them to.

So the question is which to point them to?

I am leaning in Darlene’s direction toward Goodreads.
I especially like that you can point them to the page where they write the review. In Amazon, you have to scroll to the very bottom of the book’s page to get to the reviews section.

However, if I believe AI (Gemini), “Amazon reviews are generally considered more valuable by potential buyers because they are directly associated with the book's purchase on Amazon.”
