How Do You Handle Overlapping Subscribers Across Substack and Your Own Site?

I've had a Substack blog for a couple of years, and after discovering Author Media (and finding out all kinds of things I was doing wrong! 🙂), I'm now in the process of setting up my own website.

Here's my dilemma: I'm planning to keep my Substack — while I don't have an enormous number of subscribers, I have enough that I don't want to lose that readership. My original plan was to send the same emails to my website subscribers as I send to my Substack subscribers, but it dawned on me that many of my Substack subscribers will likely also subscribe to my website — meaning they'd receive the same content duplicated in their inbox from two different sources. I think that might tax even the most patient subscriber!

At the same time, I don't want to create two entirely different streams of content due to burnout. Any thoughts on this predicament?
