I queried a group of 28,000 readers to find my Timothy

So today I sent a message to a large group of Christian fiction readers so I could maybe find a small subset of people who are interested in what I write.

Along with some explanatory verbiage, this was the crux of my question to the group:

“So I'm coming here today to ask if I am alone in reading to escape to the dangerous and romantic medieval times, where God's supernatural power is active and visible.”

I got a pretty feeble response (one or two people would fit my audience), the rest were either my friends/beta reader buddies/critique partners lol).

Am I getting too “niche?” Does my area just not have an audience? Can I frame it differently? I think I need some serious help!
