MailerLite Free Plan Change

As of today, MailerLite’s free plan changed to only allow 250 subscribers, effective July 1. I have 289 subscribers and am on the verge of a three-week trip followed by a move, so I went ahead and upgraded just to get it off my mind.

But once I’m back from that trip and/or settled in my new home, I’d like to switch back to some free plan. I think I’ve heard Kit recommended as having a free plan with more subscribers. Does anyone have other recommendations? How hard is it to switch between MailerLite and Kit? (Can I copy templates over, etc.)

In addition to my author newsletter, I just started running two newsletters for my parents’ business. Those are very new and each have about 20 subscribers. Would it be worth switching those over to another service right away as well, just to get it all over with at once?
