Mailerlite - Two different automations depending on point of entry?
I’m setting up my first reader magnet with MailerLite, Bloom, and Bookfunnel. My assumption is that it’s best to let people who go to my web site enter their email there on the page and then let them download their story from an unrestricted Bookfunnel page. That way I don’t have to hope they follow a link from my site to Bookfunnel and enter their email in step two.
Question 1: Is that the best way to handle it? Or should I be restricting downloads on Bookfunnel to people already on the list? Or just having them follow a link to Bookfunnel to sign up there?
But then I imagine there will be times when people will want to sign up for the story directly on Bookfunnel, not visiting my web site at all. Ok, so I set up a page there that DOES collect emails, though I’m not requiring them to confirm it’s a valid email address.
Question 2: Does that make sense?
And then, this creates a problem with my automations. Because now I want to have two separate drip sequences, one which includes delivery of the reader magnet and one which starts with the step after that. But I don’t see a way to tell Mailerlite the difference. I’m using Bloom on my site and MailerLite doesn’t recognize it as a form trigger.
Does anyone know a way to work around this? How can I tell it to behave differently depending on where the signup comes from? Or do I have to abandon Bloom and use the code from the MailerLite form?
Thank you.
