Networking With a Teen Audience By Email List?
For several reasons I do not want social media, even for business purposes. However, I found this puts me at a slight disadvantage in finding my audience (teen horse-crazy girls ages 12-18). I have a lead magnet, I get pretty good website traffic, and I’ve been doing this for two years and I’m still only at 277 email subscribers. I have a biweekly email that gets decent interaction but I feel like I’ve explored all the avenues and I’m stuck with where to go next. I’m on hiatus rn due to burnout but I want to come back to it in July with a strong plan on who to find in my genre next.
Any tips for growing a teen audience by email list without social media?
EDIT: okay, I am tired of repeating myself five hundred times so I need to add: I live out in the country. I’m twenty minutes from Walmart and the gas station. I am technically still in school, saving up for school, and I have a homestead, studies, and a part time job. I don’t have time/money to go to a bunch of in person events, and I am not published nor am I “big enough” to feel that I could pay for advertising. At most, I could post a flyer at Tractor Supply. I also do not think that having an email list for parents would be prudent as I talked to my readers and they all said that their parents rarely read emails and were probably less likely to sign up for an email list (I have seen this with other parents as well as my immediate family. ). Nor am I marketing to parents. I’m marketing to teens. I’m asking about marketing to teens.
I’m sorry that I didn’t include this information the first time, I should have clarified.
